I'm talking about none other than eating...

That's correct ladies and gentlemen. Pizza. I have not had a single slice or even a nibble of pizza in over 5 months. But tonight, I did it. I made an educated and planned out decision to eat it. I saved up my calories and enjoyed it!
It wasn't anything fancy. Or from anywhere special. And I could've easily made one at home. But decided that ordering from a local "Take 'N Bake" pizza shoppe would be the easiest and quickest tonight. I ordered the Herb Chicken Mediterranean deLITE Pizza which had all of my favorites...chicken, feta, sundried tomatoes, spinach and garlic. All on a thin crispy crust. And at 180 calories, 9 grams of fat, 15 carbs and 10 grams of protein for EACH slice, it was tasty.
I worked very hard over the past 5 months, I deserved this one piece, right? Well...what about 2 slices, one for me and one for the baby, that's great justification, if I do say so myself. (Or so I told myself as I practically inhaled each slice.)
It tasted good. But I'm sure it will be a while before I order another one. This bloated feeling makes me a little groggy. Almost like I'm in a pizza coma.
So farewell pizza coma...it's almost my bedtime and you've made me really tired. Go push your slices off on one of the other 310 billion Americans. I won't be seeing you for quite some time.
Yay for pizza! I'm proud of you for eating some and being smart about it too! Heck, if I could make it over 5 months without pizza--I'd totally be eating a stuffed crust cheese lovers pizza...until I puked! Ha! But seriously, that's great that you're allowing yourself things in moderation and also being conscious of calories. That's exactly how it should be done. Not many of those "other 310 billion Americans" plan much when it comes to ordering pizza.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your pizza coma! Once it wears off and your tummy settles the rest will be good tomorrow for breakfast--COLD! :)
